Dear faithful prayer warriors,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we come before God with no barriers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we be His Gospel message carriers,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To proclaim in excelsis deo<\/em> Gloria<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A week ago was CHRIST<\/em>mas Day!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together we shouted, \u201cHooray!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On that very special Holy<\/em> day,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We lifted up our hands and voices to pray.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gracious God, our heavenly Father,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtually, in Jesus\u2019 name we gather.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holy Spirit, comforter and sanctifier,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable us with gifts and power.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Gospel of Luke records,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother Mary said, \u201cMy soul glorifies the LORD.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus, this we sing in one accord<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For You<\/em> alone are to be adored<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We come before You to confess<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the sins and things we\u2019ve transgressed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgive us and transform us so we don\u2019t regress.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To You we offer our lives to bless.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we count our many blessings,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also lift up our thanksgiving<\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a cheerful and generous offering,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an attitude of gratitude unwavering.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many answered prayers we celebrate!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet we still have needs to supplicate<\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we look to our Great Advocate,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring to the Father and mediate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the pandemic lock down,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With many things shut down,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthen us to avoid emotional melt down,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And energize us so we won\u2019t be run down.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strict measures have been imposed,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which many people have opposed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some are very hardnosed,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet the CHURCH is not closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buildings are closed but Churches continue to meet,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although not in person to greet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet we come together for a time of worship so sweet,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even at home, in front of a computer, and on a comfy seat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For months we\u2019ve been copin\u2019,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staying at home and mopin\u2019,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waiting for when things start to open,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking UP to the LORD<\/em> in our hopin\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some have an attitude of doom and gloom,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whining that they can only meet via Zoom.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we gather in our virtual room,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praying and preparing for the time to break out and bloom.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As people from their bunkers are emerging,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming together, congregating and converging,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resulting in more Covid cases resurging,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Demonstrated by the stats which are discouraging.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We pray for those who have to go<\/em> to work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be they front liners, first responders, or retail clerks,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following health and safety measures \u2018cuz WFH<\/em> ain\u2019t a perk.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we all keep the rules and be smart, and not be a jerk!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also pray for families with kids returning to school,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May they all comply with the law and obey the rules,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That wearing a mask is \u2026 pretty cool<\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not wearing a mask is just playing the fool!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we wear the mask over our mouth and our nose.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Covering all the sensitive holes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making sure these openings are closed,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To protect ourselves, as well as our sis and bro\u2019s.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past year we\u2019ve gained 20\/20 hindsight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which gives us prudent insight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And offers 2021<\/em> foresight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To live under the Spirit\u2019s oversight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we\u2019ve wrapped up the year,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we not be encumbered with fear,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But be filled with joy and good cheer,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Y2K21<\/em> is now here.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We remember no doing without praying,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And no praying without doing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So in God we are trusting,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in Jesus\u2019 name we\u2019re saying:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
